The Warehouse

The warehouse is where much of the technical "magic" of theatre happens long before the audience takes their seats. Set building, prop crafting, and costuming all happen at the warehouse just for starters. While it is a warehouse with many tools and heavy items requiring attention and care, it is also a place for creativity and ingenuity where technically minded people figure out how to make melting witches vanish, on-stage costume changes happen, and other audience gasping moments.

We are always looking for people to help before, during and after performances. People with technical skills (carpentry, electricians, seamstresses, etc) are encouraged to reach out about specific needs which match their own expertise, but we also encourage anyone interested in theatrical arts to come out and help paint a set, organize costumes, or even help on warehouse cleanup nights. Like all volunteer positions, a desire and eagerness to help matter more than expertise.

One week before opening night is generally Load-In, when all the set pieces, lights, and props are put into place in the theatre.  This is an “all hands on deck” event and marks the transition from the Warehouse to the Theatre. No special skills or creativity are required, just an interest in working with your hands.
