The Nail
A good luck nail has become a tradition for TGRC. It was created from two bent nails joined together, picked up from the stage during set construction for Peter Pan (1999). That was the last show in which TGRC used nails in construction. Historically, many actors considered a bent nail from the stage a good luck piece. The director of each show selects a cast or staff member to wear the charm during each show performance. It is returned to the director at the end of the run of the show. It brings both luck and a through-line from show to show and season to season. Receiving the nail is a very special honor within TGRC. Once you have received it, you become a part of TGRC history, and are FOREVER remembered below.
