Travel back to the legendary, story-telling days of ancient China with this action-packed stage adaptation of Disney’s Mulan. The Huns have invaded, and it is up to the misfit Mulan and her mischievous sidekick Mushu to save the Emperor! Mulan JR. is a heartwarming celebration of culture, honor and a fighting spirit. The score includes favorites like “Reflection,” “Honor to Us All” and “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” as well as new songs that will get your audience up on its feet!

Sun. October 11th, 2:30 PM

To be eligible to audition, you must be at least 13 at auditions and no older than 18 at performance.
TGRC values family involvement. Therefore, if you are cast both you and your parents will be expected to volunteer time. Make sure your family is aware of this expectation prior to auditioning!

Congratulations to everyone who auditioned! We were able to cast EVERYONE except for a couple who had scheduling conflicts. The first company meeting is Sunday 8/30/2009 at 2:00 PM in the auditorium. You will need $10.00 for a script, $1.00 for a theatre handout and $2.00 for a copy of the Mulan Music CD (CD is optional- but recommended). You must call Tony at 336.280.8099 by noon on Sunday 8/30/2009 to accept your role. If you do not call, YOUR PART WILL BE RE-CAST!!!!! If I don't answer, please leave me a message. Cash and checks are accepted- checks need to be made out to TGRC. Again- CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!

In theater, an understudy is a performer who learns the lines and blocking/choreography of a leading actor or actress in a play. Should the lead actor or actress be unable to appear on stage because of illness or emergencies, the understudy takes over the part.
